A young man was found shot and killed Saturday morning on a southwest Atlanta street.

Atlanta police spokesman Sgt. Warren Pickard said authorities responded to a "person down" call on the 400 block of Holderness St. SW around 4:45 a.m. and found the deceased victim. Channel 2 Action News reported that the male has not been identified but was believed to be in his late teens.

Pickard said homicide detectives were "actively working" the incident.
