A man and woman were shot to death inside a Gwinnett County home Wednesday morning, according to police.

Officials said they got a call around 9:40 a.m. about a person shot at a house in the 600 block of Clearwater Place. The home is in the River Park neighborhood by the Yellow River. The community is near intersection of Lawrenceville Highway and Sugarloaf Parkway just outside Lawrenceville.

When officers arrived, they found the man and woman dead in a bedroom with gunshot wounds, police said. Detectives believe the people knew each other but are still investigating the nature of their relationship.

A firearm was recovered at the scene, and police said they are not looking for any suspects. Authorities did not say who they believe fired the shots.

Officials have not released any other details about the incident.
