A man and a woman died Tuesday after a domestic-related incident inside a home in Gwinnett County, authorities said.

Officers were requested to conduct a wellness check just after 11 a.m. in the 400 block of Clearwater Place and found the two people inside dead, Gwinnett police spokesperson Cpl. Ryan Winderweedle said in a statement.

Police have not said how the two died but confirmed a firearm was found inside the home, near Hollywood Drive and Lawrenceville Highway. Their names were not released as of late Tuesday afternoon because next of kin had not been notified.

“Preliminary investigation is that it is an isolated incident between the individuals inside the home,” the statement said.

Detectives were at the scene gathering evidence after the incident, which remains under investigation. The county medical examiner will investigate how they died, authorities said.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Gwinnett police at 770-513-5300. Tipsters can remain anonymous by contacting Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-8477, texting information to 274637 or visiting the Crime Stoppers website.
