Falcons inside linebacker Divine Deablo suffered a fractured forearm and will miss some time this season, Falcons coach Raheem Morris said on Monday.

“Deablo will be week-to-week,” Morris said. “We’ll kind of get a feel for that. He’ll miss some time.”

Deablo, who was playing inside linebacker, is fourth leading tackler on the team with 24. He also is tied for second on the team with four pass breakups.

He was injured in the second quarter during the 20-10 loss to the 49ers on Sunday. JD Bertrand took his place in the lineup and finished with 10 tackles.

“I know he’s going to miss some time,” Morris said. “It’s a fracture. He’ll miss a little bit of time, but we look forward to get him back at some point this year,”

Falcons quarterback Michael Penix Jr. had his leg rolled up on late in the game.

“Penix will be day-to-day,” Morris said. “He’s sore. All those different things from the game last night. He’ll have a chance to come in and have a (rest day on) Tuesday. Wednesday, he’ll have some type of (injury) status.”

Morris lauded Penix’s toughness and that he gave the sidelines a “thumb’s up” after the injury to indicate that he was OK.

“We ‘ve got a lot of toughness in this guy,” Morris said. “I can’t wait to see where he is on Wednesday. It was a bone bruise....He came in today and saw our doctors. There are definitely some limitations on him.”

Deablo was seen leaving the locker room with his left arm in a sling after the game.

McCloud no update: There was no update of wide receiver Ray-Ray McCloud, who was sent home last week and missed the past two games as a healthy scratch.

“Obviously going through that process right now with him,” Morris said. “Talked with him, but that’s a distraction that I’m dealing with and no one else.”

Trade deadline: The NFL trade deadline is Tuesday, Nov. 4.

“First and foremost I love our team,” Morris said. “I love who we are. I love what we can be. Obviously, (Sunday) night it didn’t go the way we wanted it to go. But the thing that I did love was that we almost found a way to pull out an ugly win.”

The Falcons couldn’t finish off their drives.

“The really good teams find ways to pull out those ugly wins,” Morris said. “When that score was 13-10 we had an opportunity to do it. Particularly on that fourth-and-1, if we get the ball back … in that critical situation. I thought we had a chance. That’s where you want your team to be, but in this league — general manager Terry Fontenot and all of those guys in our pro department and all those type of things, are always looking to upgrade.”

Morris couldn’t single out a position they might be looking for in a trade.

“There is nothing dire or nothing we are going to actively search out, but there is always a possibility that anything could happen,” Morris said.
