From visual arts to music to theater, the Atlanta metro area has an active arts scene offering something for nearly everyone. This week, happenings include the Atlanta Fringe Festival, which is packed with 51 productions and 245 performances of varied types during its two-week run. And Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast,” with its Oscar-winning score, takes the stage at the Fox Theatre.

“Silent Melodies”
Whitespace gallery hosts an exhibition of works by Eric Mack inspired by his time spent in the garden over the last eight years.

The Bean Tones
The ensemble, which has been compared to legendary harmony groups such as the Hi-Lo’s, makes its Georgia debut, redefining vocal jazz for a new generation.

“Beauty and the Beast”
The Regions Bank Broadway in Atlanta series continues with this Disney 30th-anniversary production and its Oscar-winning score that includes “Be Our Guest” and “Beauty and the Beast.”

Atlanta Fringe Festival
The two-week festival is packed with 51 productions and 245 performances, featuring dance, comedy, drama, circus, music, magic, puppetry, children’s shows, cabaret, burlesque and performance art.

Stutzmann conducts Tchaikovsky
Music director Nathalie Stutzmann leads the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, with Swedish violinist Daniel Lozakovich the soloist for Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto. The composer’s Symphony Number 6, “Pathétique”, is also on the program.

“In the Heights”
Aurora Theatre closes its season with this Tony Award-winning musical with music and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda. With a blend of hip-hop, salsa, merengue and soul, it celebrates family, resilience and the pursuit of the American dream. It’s been voted by Aurora audiences as the favorite show in the company’s history.

Mason Fine Art group exhibition
The exhibit features John Simmons (photography documenting Black life in America since the 1960s), Lev Mills (the late Atlanta printmaker, public artist and Spelman College professor) and Shareon “Bhare” Blenman (folksy paintings of young Black life) along with works by Vivian Maier, Robert Sengstacke and Paul Cadden.

Art Yard Paint Jam, Vol. 3
ABV Gallery will feature 10 new large-scale murals painted throughout the day in its back lot, along with music, an art market and food. Guests are also invited inside to view three exhibitions. “In Motion,” a group show, along with “Portal” and “Lucky You!” solo exhibits by Sabrina Shumaker and Tiny Kaiju, respectively.

“Twilight of the Gods”

“Basura”
With music written by 11-time Grammy Award-winner Gloria Estefan and her Grammy-nominated daughter, Emily Estefan, this new musical is inspired by the true story of Paraguay’s Recycled Orchestra, where young artists turn scrap material into instruments and music into possibilities.

Georgian Chamber Players season finale
Elizabeth Pridgen and Julie Coucheron will showcase the Ahavath Achim Synagogue’s two grand pianos in a season-finale performance of Rachmaninoff’s Suite No. 2 for Two Pianos. The performance also includes Kodaly’s Intermezzo for String Trio, Faure’s “Fantaisie” for flute and piano and Mozart’s Flute Quartet in D Major.

Salon: The Art of Conversation with Sarah Turquety
