If you’re looking for something fun to do with your family this weekend in metro Atlanta, head to the Chattahoochee Nature Center for the annual Flying Colors Butterfly Festival, where you can visit with live butterflies and learn more about them. In addition, Glow Nights returns to the Georgia Aquarium with vibrant galleries, large-scale puppetry and other experiences.

Virginia-Highland Summerfest

The 41st festival includes more than 200 artists, music, a KidZone, beverage garden, food, a 5K race and Tot Trot, and a Block Party (6-11 p.m. Saturday).

High Museum’s Family Saturday

The High Museum of Art’s June Family Saturday incorporates arts programming for everyone with family-friendly tours, artmaking and more. You can also view the Amy Sherald exhibit.

Braves Country 5K

Run in the streets surrounding Truist Park before crossing the finish line on the baseball field. Ticket packages include either a Home Run Porch or a Grandstand Reserved ticket to your choice of a game between Saturday, June 6 and Sunday, June 21 (excluding June 20).

Powder Springs’ Bark in the Park

Bring your pet for a “paw-ty” with story time for pets and kids, pet vendors, exhibitions and adoptions. Awards and prizes will be presented to the pet with the best costume, the biggest and smallest dogs, the most exotic/unusual pet and the owner and pet that look the most alike.

Marietta Artists Guild First Saturday — Art in Action

Step inside working artist spaces, meet local creators and experience art as it’s being made.

World Record Attempt

Before the arrival of the World Cup in downtown Atlanta, Smyrna is taking part in a worldwide effort to set a record for the most soccer balls juggled at the same time. The program also includes guest speakers, professional football freestylers, vendors and prizes.

Chamblee Night Market

Amplify Decatur Music Festival celebrates its 10th year with a large lineup of performers including the Tom Petty Show with Canyonland, Gillian Welch and David Rawlings, Patterson Hood and Kyshona.
